Service Description

The objective of this workshop series is to create a Sustainable Strategic Fundraising Plan that will enable your nonprofit organization to expand its donor base, improve donor retention, and increase the organization's capacity to raise even more money. Session 1: Building a Foundation for Sustainable Growth: This session will guide the participants through the process of developing the key documents that need to be in place for a sustainable development office. At the conclusion of the session the participants will have the basis for writing Gift Acceptance Guidelines, a Donor Recognition Policy, Donor Database Management Policies and Procedures, a Case for Support, and a Fundraising Plan. Because of the fiduciary role of the Board of Directors, this session will delve into the roles and responsibilities of the board and how to recruit and train them. Session 2: Maximizing Fundraising Results from Corporations, Foundations, and other Significant Sources: Corporations and foundations are a major funding source for many nonprofit organizations. According to Giving USA, across the United States they account for 1 out of 5 charitable dollars. This program defines the various fundraising approaches that are specific to corporations and foundations and discusses how to maximize those fundraising efforts. Although not as substantial, other entities, such as churches or civic organizations, provide an important source of income for some nonprofits and need to be considered. Session 3: Raising Money from Individuals: It has been said, “To raise money requires the right person with the right cause, asking for the right amount, at the right time, from the right prospect.” To accomplish that task requires exemplary planning and preparation. This workshop discusses why raising money from individual donors is paramount in growing a fundraising program. Particpants will learn techniques to develop strategies to increase giving from your current donors, to retain donors, and to re-engage lapsed donors. Session 4: What Else is in Your Toolbox: Raising Money with Events, Your Website, Mobile Giving, and Social Media: From the Greatest Generation to Millennials, there are differences. A wise fundraiser will understand who is in their database and how different fundraising methods will need to be implemented. This workshop will explore ways to engage the senior donors, as well as those who have never known a world without text messaging. Also receive Diana's 2 books.
